Island Bliss & Tropical Paradise
The two tropical gems of Krabi and Ko Lipe sit along Thailand’s southwest coast. Each destination has its own atmosphere and highlights, and combining Krabi with Ko Lipe creates a well-balanced, unforgettable journey within a single trip.
Krabi province is home to one of the world’s most dramatic karst landscapes. Towering limestone islands, sea caves, and hidden lagoons form surreal coastal scenes that often leave visitors speechless.
Ko Lipe, often referred to as the “Maldives of Thailand,” is a hidden treasure in the Andaman Sea. This small island in the far south offers powder-soft white beaches, crystal-clear turquoise water, and a charming local culture that sets it apart from more commercial island destinations.
Best Time to Visit
The weather along Thailand’s west coast is shaped by a tropical monsoon climate, which brings two main seasons — the dry season and the rainy season.
The dry season lasts from November to April. This is peak travel time when visitors from around the world escape the winter cold and head straight for Thailand’s warm shores. Expect ideal beach weather with clear skies, light breezes, and pleasant temperatures between 77°F and 90°F (25°C to 32°C).
May and June often remain stable, with plenty of sunshine and short but heavy afternoon showers. The rainy season typically runs from July through late October. During these months, rain can be frequent and heavy, with high humidity and occasional thunderstorms. Southwest monsoon winds bring moisture from the Andaman Sea, resulting in cloudier days and shorter daylight hours.

Days 1–5 | Krabi
Upon arrival at Krabi Airport, you’ll be transferred to your chosen resort. The next few days are yours to relax and explore Krabi’s beautiful surroundings at your own pace.
Located on the west coast of Southern Thailand, Krabi is a tropical paradise defined by dramatic cliffs, lush jungle landscapes, and calm turquoise seas.
One of its top highlights is Railay Beach — often ranked among the best beaches in the world. Surrounded by towering limestone cliffs, it is also a renowned spot for rock climbing. Take your time to enjoy the area and consider day trips to nearby islands such as Ko Poda or Ko Hong. A short visit to Krabi Town is also worthwhile to get a feel for the local atmosphere. Active travelers may enjoy climbing the staircase to the Tiger Cave Temple, where panoramic views reward you at the summit.
Days 5–9 | Ko Lipe
You’ll be picked up at your resort and travel by car and boat to Ko Lipe, where you will arrive directly on the beach. Enjoy your days on this idyllic island and take time to truly unwind.
Ko Lipe lies near the Malaysian border and has a rich cultural mix influenced by the indigenous Chao Leh “Sea Gypsies” and neighboring Malaysia. Often called the “Maldives of Thailand,” Ko Lipe is considered one of the kingdom’s most beautiful islands thanks to its white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs.
The island features three main beaches, each with its own mood. Pattaya Beach is the most popular, offering lively nightlife, beach bars, and a social atmosphere. Sunrise Beach, as its name suggests, is perfect for early-morning scenery and peaceful relaxation. Sunset Beach is the quietest of the three, ideal for those seeking serenity and breathtaking evening views.
Ko Lipe belongs to the Tarutao National Marine Park, which includes 51 islands — an excellent setting for snorkeling and diving. Around Ko Lipe lies a small archipelago of roughly 20 untouched islands that can be reached by kayak or longtail boat.
On your final day, you’ll transfer back to Krabi Airport.
